Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate theoretical models
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop patentable intellectual property in quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2021-2026)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming experience
- Published research in quantum machine learning or error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF/DOE research funding
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Excellent presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
