Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum computing protocols using superconducting qubits
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure government and industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum hardware (minimum 5 peer-reviewed papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum measurement techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and quantum field theory
- Proven ability to secure NSF or DoD quantum research funding
