Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 4K temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define next-generation quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, ACM QCE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Proven track record of securing research funding from NSF/NIH/DARPA
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
