Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum hardware prototyping and error-correction research
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable prototypes
- Secure and manage $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and circuit optimization
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or superconducting qubits
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
