Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate theoretical models into functional systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF and DOE grant applications
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
