Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization and cryptographic security
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design error-corrected qubit architectures
- Lead cross-functional teams in simulating quantum systems at scale
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Advise C-suite on quantum adoption roadmaps
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing venues
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Security clearance or ability to obtain one
