Responsibilities
- Develop proprietary quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits using superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with theoretical physicists to advance quantum error correction protocols
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq) and Python
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or gate-based systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and classical Python/C++
- Published research in quantum information theory or topological quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC) for quantum simulations
