Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors at cryogenic temperatures
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science) and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional project teams
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and compiler design
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
