Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and drug discovery
- Develop error mitigation techniques and quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research on quantum machine learning models and hybrid quantum-classical neural networks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance on emerging processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our open-source quantum software framework
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum algorithm development (e.g., VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum information science or top-tier CS/physics journals
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex quantum concepts to diverse audiences
