Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Publication record in quantum information science or top-tier computer science
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and assembly for quantum systems
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum hardware integration
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
