Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance quantum computational fidelity
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into neural networks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise quantum engineering interns
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA quantum computing grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic quantum processors
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Track record of securing federal research grants or industry partnerships
- Expertise in at least one classical ML framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
