Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with next-generation processors
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate-level projects
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Familiarity with cryogenic quantum hardware architectures
- Strong track record of collaborative research projects
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract work
