Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and simulation
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols
- Develop proprietary quantum error correction methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave systems
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Python, Qiskit, and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Strong track record of securing federal research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies (3+ patents)
- Experience leading international research consortia
