Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional research teams of physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to deploy quantum solutions in finance and logistics
- Secure research funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum annealing and superconducting qubit architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500K+ in research grants
- Experience mentoring PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerance strategies
- Strong background in computational complexity theory
