Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms solving complex optimization problems for finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead development of error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with next-generation qubit architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at global tech summits
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry partnerships with quantum computing leaders
- Develop roadmaps for quantum advantage implementation in enterprise environments
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals demonstrating quantum algorithm innovation
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Track record of securing government or corporate research grants
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams of 10+ researchers
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and post-quantum cryptography implications
- Patents in quantum computing or related fields strongly preferred
