Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead a team of 8+ researchers in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit stability and error correction protocols
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private investors
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop IP strategy for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature/Science)
- Expertise in quantum error correction, variational algorithms, and NISQ devices
- Experience securing federal research grants ($1M+ preferred)
- Strong Python/C++ programming with quantum libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts to executive stakeholders
- Patents or commercialized quantum technology solutions
