Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Lead error correction protocol development to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Secure $5M+ in government and private sector research grants
- Mentor PhD-level researchers in quantum information science
- Develop intellectual property portfolio with 10+ patent applications annually
- Present breakthrough findings at premier quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and topological qubits
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams of 10+ members
