Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead hardware-software integration projects with superconducting qubit platforms
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $1M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with demonstrated publications in Nature/Science
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
- Active DOE QIS or NSF awards as PI/co-PI preferred
