Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead quantum error correction protocols achieving <10-9 logical qubit error rates
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define qubit connectivity standards
- Create quantum simulation frameworks for pre-quantum algorithm validation
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Week and similar conferences
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in emerging technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topology
- Expertise in superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum systems
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Track record of translating theoretical models to practical implementations
