Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical AI architectures for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, ML engineers, and domain specialists
- Develop novel algorithms leveraging quantum advantage for optimization and machine learning
- Secure research funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum AI solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and cultivate quantum talent pipeline
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum machine learning
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or arXiv quantum research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Experience leading R&D teams with demonstrable impact metrics
- Clearance for US government quantum research programs (preferred)
