Responsibilities
- Test Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality.
- Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA, providing clear reproduction steps and severity levels.
- Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing on builds to ensure new features do not break existing functionality.
- Automation Support: Collaborate with the automation team to maintain and enhance existing regression suites using Selenium or Cypress.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements and provide testing insights.
- Performance Testing: Assist in load and stress testing to ensure application stability under heavy traffic.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, including manual testing and some automation exposure.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying and scripting (Java/Python or C#) is highly preferred.
- Tools: Strong command of JIRA, Selenium WebDriver, and API testing tools (Postman).
- Process: Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
