Responsibilities
- Execute Test Plans: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify software functionality and user experience.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on new builds and updates to ensure existing functionality remains intact after code changes.
- Automated Testing Support: Collaborate with the engineering team to write and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Cypress.
- API Testing: Validate API endpoints and data integrity using Postman or similar tools.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate test documentation, including test reports, logs, and test status summaries.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide daily updates on testing progress and highlight any critical risks or blockers to management.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA) or Software Testing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or Appium).
- Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA) and API testing tools (Postman). Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Agile/Scrum: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
