Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our elite team in the heart of Durham, North Carolina. This is a remote-friendly position that offers the perfect blend of flexible work-life balance and the dynamic energy of the Research Triangle Park.
As a QA Tester at Apex Quality Systems, you will play a critical role in ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of reliability and user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify defects, improve software quality, and deliver seamless digital solutions to our clients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA, ensuring clear communication with developers for timely resolutions.
- Regression Testing: Perform rigorous regression testing on new releases and updates to ensure existing functionality remains intact.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements and provide actionable feedback during the development lifecycle.
- Performance Testing: Assist in identifying bottlenecks and performance issues within web and mobile applications using tools like JMeter or similar.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and software testing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database testing and experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Automation: Familiarity with at least one automation framework (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright) is a strong plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Remote Work: Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working effectively in a fully remote environment.
