Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM platform to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct detailed forensic analysis and root cause analysis for security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Implement and manage security patches and configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (SOC2, HIPAA).
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies and incident response playbooks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, preferably in a SOC or threat intelligence role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in security tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, FireEye).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a part-time capacity.
