Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time QA Tester to join our Raleigh, NC team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our software development lifecycle by ensuring our products are bug-free, intuitive, and high-performing.
The Role:
As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver superior software solutions. We offer a flexible part-time schedule for the right candidate.
What You Will Do:
- Execute manual and automated test cases to verify software functionality.
- Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and bugs.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolutions.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not break existing features.
- Document test results and provide clear feedback to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with testing trends and tools to improve quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new code updates do not negatively impact existing features.
- Create and maintain test data and test scripts.
- Communicate test results and risks to project managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance (Manual Testing).
- Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, or Appium) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database querying.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
