What You'll Do
As a Part-Time QA Tester, you will be responsible for verifying our software's functionality and performance. You will work closely with our development team to identify issues early and ensure a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Test Planning: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and provide clear, actionable feedback to developers.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on new releases to ensure existing functionality remains intact and no new bugs have been introduced.
- Quality Assurance: Execute manual and automated tests to verify product requirements and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Product and Development teams to understand requirements and discuss potential risks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate test documentation, including test logs, reports, and metrics.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a QA Tester or Software Test Engineer, with a focus on manual testing.
- Tools: Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Trello) and testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or Postman).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and edge cases in complex software systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report findings.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week during business hours.
