Responsibilities
- Design, refine, and test AI prompts for diverse applications (chatbots, content generation, data analysis)
- Conduct iterative prompt optimization to improve model performance and output quality
- Document prompt engineering methodologies and create reusable prompt libraries
- Collaborate with ML engineers to align prompts with model capabilities and business objectives
- Analyze prompt effectiveness using quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback
- Stay current with emerging AI techniques and industry best practices
- Develop prompt templates for scalable deployment across multiple use cases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field
- 2+ years of prompt engineering experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python and experience with API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret model outputs and identify improvement areas
- Excellent written communication with attention to nuance and context
- Portfolio demonstrating prompt engineering projects and results
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
