Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users regarding network connectivity and hardware issues.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs to identify potential threats or anomalies.
- Document network configurations, changes, and incidents in the IT ticketing system.
- Assist in the deployment of new network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring firewalls and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
