Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Lead incident response protocols for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Implement and maintain advanced security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure NIST/CIS compliance
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level reports
- Develop security automation scripts using Python/PowerShell
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with focus on security operations or incident response
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 6am-6pm)
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making under pressure
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
