Responsibilities
- Network Infrastructure: Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal network performance.
- Cabling & Hardware: Perform physical network cabling (Cat6/Fiber), termination, and management of network hardware racks.
- System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, firmware updates, and health checks on servers and network devices.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, LAN/WAN problems, and security breaches.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and inventory.
- Support: Assist end-users with technical inquiries and provide Tier 2 support as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent technical certification (CompTIA Network+ preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in network administration or IT support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco/Juniper equipment and strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces/server rooms.
- License: Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation for local site visits.
