Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and hardware malfunctions promptly.
- Configure, install, and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform regular network maintenance, including software updates and firmware patching.
- Assist in the physical installation and cabling of new network hardware and peripherals.
- Monitor network performance and security logs to ensure optimal uptime and data integrity.
- Document network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding network access and security policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
- High school diploma or GED required.
