Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Troubleshoot network outages and implement immediate resolution protocols
- Document network configurations, topologies, and maintenance procedures
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for internal and external clients
- Collaborate with cloud services teams on hybrid infrastructure solutions
- Implement security measures including VLAN segmentation and access controls
- Conduct periodic network audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA/CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet equipment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently during flexible shifts
