Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using diagnostic tools and resolve connectivity issues
- Document network configurations, changes, and incident reports
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for network-related user problems
- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with team members on network upgrades and infrastructure projects
- Train staff on best practices for network usage and security
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge
- Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Valid Ohio driver's license for occasional client site visits
