What You'll Do
As a Help Desk Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our internal employees and clients. Your primary goal will be to resolve technical issues efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for end-users via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
- Ticket Management: Log and track all incoming support requests in the ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, Jira) and ensure timely resolution.
- User Support: Provide exceptional customer service by answering technical questions and guiding users through step-by-step solutions.
- Hardware & Software Support: Assist with laptop deployments, software installations, printer configuration, and peripheral maintenance.
- System Maintenance: Participate in routine IT maintenance tasks, including patch management and security updates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in IT support, Help Desk, or a similar technical role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT or related field preferred.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Microsoft MCSA certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems; knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking concepts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Availability: Must be available to work a flexible part-time schedule, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
