Responsibilities
- Data Management: Collect, clean, and interpret complex equity options datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Modeling & Analysis: Perform statistical analysis on option pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes, Binomial) and implied volatility surfaces.
- Dashboard Creation: Build and maintain interactive dashboards (using Tableau or Power BI) to visualize market trends and trading performance.
- Automation: Develop SQL queries and Python scripts for automated data extraction and reporting.
- Collaboration: Partner with the trading desk to identify data-driven opportunities and provide insights on market movements.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data pipelines, methodologies, and analysis results.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation.
- Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial derivatives, specifically equity options, option Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta), and pricing mechanisms.
- Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a high degree of self-discipline and time management.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
