Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Modeling: Analyze large volumes of equity options data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that influence market behavior.
- Reporting: Develop clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and dashboards (using Tableau or Power BI) to communicate findings to senior management and trading desks.
- Data Management: Clean, validate, and maintain databases of options pricing and volatility data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Market Research: Monitor macroeconomic indicators and specific equity movements to provide timely recommendations on potential trading opportunities.
- Collaboration: Partner with quantitative analysts and portfolio managers to refine data collection processes and enhance analytical models.
- Documentation: Document data pipelines, methodologies, and assumptions used in financial modeling to ensure transparency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience (1-3 years) in financial data analysis, specifically within the equity options or derivatives market.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, Python or R for statistical analysis, and Excel for financial modeling.
- Tools: Strong command of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
