Responsibilities
- Analyze equity options market data using SQL and Python to identify arbitrage opportunities and pricing inefficiencies
- Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for real-time options pricing and volatility tracking
- Create custom reports visualizing options Greeks, implied volatility surfaces, and risk metrics
- Collaborate with traders to validate option pricing models and refine hedging strategies
- Monitor market conditions and alert teams to unusual options activity or structural changes
- Support backtesting of options trading strategies using historical datasets
- Document data sources, methodologies, and analytical processes for team reference
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 2+ years of experience analyzing equity options or derivative market data
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation of large financial datasets
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial)
- Familiarity with options trading concepts (Greeks, volatility surfaces, exotic derivatives)
- Experience with Python data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) for financial analysis
- Strong attention to detail with ability to validate data accuracy and integrity
- Excellent communication skills to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders
