Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading systems using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on trading platforms
- Implement encryption protocols for sensitive financial data and option contracts
- Develop incident response plans for trading system breaches
- Ensure compliance with FINRA, SEC, and PCI-DSS regulations
- Collaborate with traders to identify security gaps in trading workflows
- Document security protocols and create audit reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity with focus on financial systems or trading platforms
- Certification in CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
- Experience with threat detection tools (Splunk, Darktrace)
- Knowledge of equity options trading mechanics and market data protocols
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation
- Ability to work 20-25 hours/week with flexible scheduling
