Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats.
- Incident Response: Assist in triaging and responding to security incidents, conducting preliminary forensics, and documenting findings.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct periodic vulnerability scans and assess security configurations to ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Threat Hunting: Perform proactive threat hunting exercises to uncover hidden threats within the network.
- Reporting: Generate and present weekly security reports to stakeholders, summarizing key findings and risk assessments.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure all security policies and procedures are followed and recommend improvements where necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors (phishing, malware, ransomware).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
