Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response for malware outbreaks and APT attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement firewall rules and IDS/IPS configurations
- Coordinate threat intelligence sharing with federal agencies (FBI, CISA)
- Document security incidents and forensic evidence
- Train junior analysts on SOC protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- 3+ years SOC/IR experience with weekend shift exposure
- Active CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification
- Expertise in NIST frameworks and ISO 27001
- Proficiency with Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne
- Ability to work independently during critical incidents
- TS/SCI clearance preferred
