Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time security alerts and anomalies within equity trading systems and network infrastructure.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems and trading applications.
- Implement and manage robust security protocols for data encryption and user access control.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with incident response teams to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA) for financial data protection.
- Document security policies and provide tailored training to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to secure new equity options features.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
- Proven experience with Linux, Windows Server, and network security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Snort).
- Familiarity with financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, or trading platforms.
- Ability to work part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) with high availability and flexibility.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Clearance to work within the United States.
