Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 security operations center (SOC) feeds and alert on potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents with minimal downtime.
- Enforce security policies and perform regular compliance audits (PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
- Analyze system logs to identify suspicious activities and anomalies.
- Collaborate with the full-time engineering team to patch vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in network security or SOC operations.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
