Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and SIEM alerts for potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on systems
- Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Document security policies, procedures, and audit findings
- Stay current on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Splunk, Wireshark, Qualys)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
