Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events (SIEM) to detect potential threats and intrusions in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into phishing attempts, malware activity, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments and patch management on internal systems.
- Assist in the development and testing of incident response playbooks and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and compliance audit trails.
- Collaborate with the full-time team to identify security gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or network security environment.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and ability to commute to Phoenix, AZ as needed.
