Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM platform to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks.
- Implement and manage firewall rules and intrusion detection systems.
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with the IT team to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
- Assist in the development of security awareness training materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and firewalls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain a government or industry background check.
