Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM platforms (Splunk/Sentinel) to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough log analysis and forensic investigations to determine the scope and impact of security incidents.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and security documentation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and configuration hardening.
- Provide expert guidance on secure coding practices for development teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS systems.
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
