Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and anomalous activity across client networks
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing exercises
- Investigate security alerts, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and patch management
- Stay current on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends through continuous research
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or related IT security role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and OS hardening
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Darktrace)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to document complex security events
- Strong written communication for reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a flexible environment
