Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards to detect and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and lead containment actions during security breaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement zero-trust architecture solutions
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Stay current with emerging threats through continuous research and threat intelligence analysis
- Assist in developing security awareness training programs for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in security operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation frameworks
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize complex security incidents
