Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and systems for suspicious activities, vulnerabilities, and security breaches.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in the forensic analysis of security events.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT staff to patch systems and mitigate software vulnerabilities.
- Provide user training and guidance on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
