Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the organization’s infrastructure using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential entry points.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Develop, document, and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, ISO).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and firewalls.
- Perform user access reviews and manage identity and access management (IAM) controls.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in network security, SOC analysis, or threat hunting.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
